Sunday Sept 7th and Monday Sept 8th

Sunday I drove from Moose Jaw Saskatchewan to Red Deer Alberta. Along the way, there were the infamous fields of grain,

some of the Alberta badlands

and a rainbow through the rain...

Sunday night I booked into a motel then went next door for supper. While there I noticed some people from our church that I'd known when I was growing up, sitting there with their family and 3 other families. The odds of that happening are what?

After eating supper I went back to my motel and did my online jurisprudence test, the last hurdle before getting licensed in B.C. It was 68 questions long. It took me three hours to read the material and complete the test. I got finished at 12:30 a.m. When I logged into my email Monday morning I already had my mark. The BC board of examiners is being really good about working with me to get my license as quick as possible. I scored 100% which sounds really good until I tell you that the passing score required was 95%.

Monday I travelled through Banff National Park. Anyone who hasn't been there should definitely drive it someday, the scenery is awesome. It was great to see the mountains show up.

Once I get in the mountains I immediately feel "at home". The glacier fed rivers and lakes are a gorgeous blue hue, even the air smells different.

Some more scenery shots...

Shortly after noon I crossed the border into British Columbia, 13 years after leaving it.
I reached Prince George for the night. I've crossed 3 time zones in the last 4 days. Tomorrow I should reach Kitimat BC, see my family once again, see the place Carolee has found us to live in, see my new office...
